This weekend in Westchester County, will be one of the best as we kick off Ockobertfest and celebrate the long Columbus Day weekend! Events will take place in White Plains, Peekskill, Dobbs Ferry, Eastchester and Scarsdale. Also, That’s Amore Italian Street Festival will take place in Stamford!
The Eastchester Carnival & Columbus Day Parade starts on Friday, October 5th with Double Image and a DJ Dance Party from 6-11 PM. On Saturday, October 6th, House Arrest will perform at 3PM and the FDR Drive Band performs at 6PM. The Eastchester Columbus Day Celebration Committee works incredibly hard to bring you a spectacular carnival complete with rides, games, food, and fun for the entire family. On October 6th, the Annual Dobbs Ferry’s Ferry Festa will take place on Main Street and Cedar Street will be closed to vehicles so that 15,000 of our closest friends can enjoy 125 vendors, three stages with bands, Lords of Hawthorne and Whoz Ya Daddy, and five inflatables for kids. This is a family environment and it is not a carnival. It is a sincere and authentic community street fair. While the Village and the Chamber of Commerce both support this event, it is community driven and open to everyone.
Peekskill’s inaugural Harvest Festival will be one of the Hudson Valley’s premiere fall musical and creative events, drawing thousands of people from the tri-state area to enjoy this free, open-air concert on the streets of historic downtown Peekskill from 2 PM – 10 PM. White Plains 10th Anniversary Oktoberfest is on Sunday, October 7th from 1PM – 6PM on Mamaroneck Ave. between East Post Rd. and Maple Ave. This festival will have German beers and food, with live music provided by Alpine Squeeze, along with DJ Nando. There will be games and fun competitions all day long. $5 Wristbands and proof of age is required for the outdoor purchase of beer. Cash only. All bags will be subject to inspection. Glass not permitted in the event area.

On Sunday October 7th the That’s Amore Italian Street Festival (from 11:30AM to 6:30PM) transforms Downtown Stamford into Little Italy with exotic Italian sports cars, an Italian farmers market, children’s gelato-eating contest, food booths & food trucks and incredible free, live entertainment all day long.
