Maritime Aquarium


Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk is an aquarium located in the South Norwalk section of Norwalk, Connecticut. The Maritime Aquarium is open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. every day of the year, except Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. (Also please note they close early … at 3 p.m. … on Thanksgiving Eve and Christmas Eve days.) From July 1 – Labor Day, we stay open until 6 p.m. daily.  Tickets are:
Adults: $22.95
Child (age 3-12): $15.95
Youth (age 13-17): $20.95
Senior (age 65+): $20.95

Dedicated to the life of circus imnpresario Phineas Taylor Barnum and those who were influenced by his presence in their lives. 1892 building houses exhibits including a miniature circus model, ancient mummy, historic costumes, Tom Thumb carriages. Museum store. Hours: Thursday and Friday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Admission: Adults, $8; seniors over age 65 and and children age 4 to 17, $5; students, $5.

Bruce Museum Arts & Science Center

The Bruce Museum is a museum in downtown Greenwich, Connecticut with both art and natural history exhibition space. The Bruce’s main building sits on a hill in a downtown park, and its tower can be easily seen by drivers passing by on Interstate 95.

Admission: Adults $10.00; Students (5-22 w/ valid ID) $8.00; Seniors (65 & up) $8.00
Museum members and children under 5 Free. Free individual admission on Tuesday.

Museum Hours: Tuesday – Sunday 10 am – 5 pm. Doors close 1/2 hour before closing,Last admission 4:30 pm. Closed Mondays and major holidays: New Years Day, Easter, Independence Day,  Labor Day,  Thanksgiving,  Christmas. Early closing  at 3 p.m. on the day before Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and  New Year’s Eve. ( Tues. – Sun. only)

Astronomy Week at Stepping Stones Museum

Astronomy Week at Stepping Stones Museum for Children kicks off on August 14 and culminates with the solar eclipse August 21. Each day, little stargazers can drop into the Making Space Challenge to make their own telescope then create what they might see in deep space. Workshops include Constellation Games and Planet Marble Painting. During the eclipse experience on August 21, amateur astronomers can see what happens when the sun disappears behind the moon.
